Vienna 2 day itinerary

Day 1

St. Stephen's Cathedral - The mother church of Roman Cathlic Archdiocese in the city is St. Stephen's Cathedral, this is the seat of the Archbishop of Vienna, Christoph Cardinal Schonborn.

Historic Centre - The historic centre of the city is rich in architectural ensembles, including Baroque castles and gardens, and the late-19th-century Ringstrasse lined with grand buildings, monuments and parks.

Hofburg Palace - The Hofburg Palace has been home to some of the most powerful people in European and Austrian history, this includes the Habsburg dynasty and rulers of the Austro- Hungarian Empire.

Vienna State Opera - The Vienna State Opera is a historic opera house and company that dates back to the mid-1800s. It was formally known as the Vienna Court Opera and is centrally placed in the city among many other historical buildings.

Day 2

Prater - The Wiener Prater is home to the Wurstelprater amusement park and includes the Wiener Riesenrad. This great park in Vienna's 2nd district is frequently called the "Prater".

Belvedere - The Belvedere sits in the 3rd district of the city, in the south-east of its center among the Baroque park landscape. This historic building complex consists of two Baroque palaces, the Orangery, and the Palace Stables.

Schönbrunn Palace - Since the 1960s a major tourist attractions has been Schonbrunn Palace. This significant cultural monument is a former imperial Rococo summer residence that has an amazing 1,441 rooms.
